The summer is finally approaching Iceland.
Last weekend we headed to Styyholmur, a lovely fishing town by the western coast of the island.
We went with a water jet and couple of friends.
When you want whale-watching in Iceland, husavik is one of the best choices, yet you can spot whales everywhere round the island (if you’re lucky enough).
And we not only saw the whales, but killer whales, not one, but a group of them! It was mind blowing.
Despite their terrifying names, they’re rather friendly, swimming only few meters to our water jets.
We’ve been to this town couple of times before, it’s also famous for its water library, where they collect all the water samples from the glacier all round the island. Sadly few doesn’t existed any more because of the global warming.
